Yuhan Wang Spring Summer 2024 Collection. London, 16 September 2023

Flocked-florals, layered lace and romantic rebellion - the themes that largely flow throughout London-based Chinese designer Yuhan Wang's collections season after season. For Yuhan's SS24 collection, titled "Fata Morgana" these themes were present while the collection explored the journey of a modern female protagonist "navigating the complexities of her world." This same female protagonist wears the elegant mix of undergarments and daywear while representing "resilience and strength [and] encapsulating the spirit of women, who break free from gendered constraints." The collection poetically features layered lace trimmings - intentionally asymmetrical to represent rebellion. It also features Yuhan's signature draped and ruched dresses but this time with hand-embroidered cats, rabbits and deer as well as printed strawberries - evoking a sense of sensualism. As befits the brand's usual spirit, the collection plays on the dichotomy of delicate vs. strong.
