Santoni Autumn Winter 2025 Collection. Milan, March 2025
The striking Santoni orange filled the grand Galleria Meraviglia, as sunlight danced over displays of some of the most impeccable craftsmanship of our time. Celebrating its 50th anniversary at Milan Fashion Week, Santoni presented the Meraviglia collection in an intimate gathering, inviting guests into a world where tradition and innovation meet.

The collection was a testament to balance—softness and strength, heritage and modernity. On either side of the room the men’s and women’s styles reflected Santoni’s mastery of leatherwork, presented in a palette of Oro Meraviglia, Bronzo Meraviglia, and Ebano Meraviglia. Loafers, ankle boots, and pumps took center stage, crafted from supple lambskin and durable leather soles, embodying both elegance and longevity. Little metal crests included on each piece, a subtle yet meaningful nod to Santoni’s identity—one that has evolved since its inception.
Beyond the collection, the Makers of Beauty for 50 Years photography series by renowned photographer Jack Davidson also caught guests attention. Lining the walls, his images captured the very artisans who have shaped Santoni over the decades—steady hands, precise cuts, and distinct brushstrokes. The portraits revealed an authenticity often overshadowed in today’s fast-paced fashion industry, reminding us that luxury is not only about the final product but the process and hands that create it. Further deepening this narrative, Objects of Marvel, a curated selection of the artisans’ tools, stood on display. These objects, often unseen by the public, were used as symbols of the craftsmanship, reinforcing Santoni’s enduring commitment to artistry.
As the presentation continued guests were served pasta and decadent sweets, Gabrio Santoni, son of the CEO, reflected on the 50 year milestone: “it’s the human touch that defines true luxury”. His words are a reminder that even in a period when fashion moves at an unrelenting speed, Santoni stands as a testament to the beauty of slowing down, appreciating every detail, and honouring the work of the artisans behind each stitch.
As guests stepped out of the Galleria and back onto the bustling Milan streets during the Fashion Week, the feeling lingered—Santoni’s legacy is not just in the shoes, but in the hands that create them.
