Where are you from and where are you in?
Kristina: I’m a 100% authentic Ukrainian.
Georgia: I’m originally Australian and Vietnamese, but I have always lived in Paris.
What have you learned during 2020?
Kristina: To stop making plans and be able to enjoy the present moment. Nurture my needs, and take life with a bit of humour.
Georgia: In 2020 I’ve gotten acquainted with the idea that time is nothing more than an instrument, an instrument which can build or destroy oneself.
Did you get to learn something new?
Kristina: I learned how to play chess with my friend.
Georgia: I did not really find a new hobby in 2020, but I reconnected with old passions of mine like reading, mostly philosophy.
Were you able to travel and work overseas during 2020? Did you have to cancel any job opportunities?
Kristina: I stayed close to my home this year, travelling just wasn’t an option and frankly, it taught me how to make the best of what I have.
Georgia: I’ve been able to travel to London, but all other trips have unfortunately been cancelled.
What is the place you want to visit once the world gets back to normal?
Kristina: Cuba.
Georgia: Once the world gets back to normal, I did not plan anything ahead of time travel-wise, but will definitely take the first travel opportunity offered to me.
Use three words that describe best the shoot you did with Mathieu?
Kristina: Goofy, peaceful and fun!
Georgia: Creative, warm and pure.
Do you have a green thumb? Do you have some house plant? A little vegetable garden?
Kristina: I don’t, but my grandma does and I spent this summer helping her around.
Georgia: I definitely try my best to lower my carbon impact on the environment, but I could definitely establish more rules for myself and take steps to make a change.
What is your earliest memory with a flower in it?
Kristina: Ever since I was a little girl, my dad would buy me Snowdrops each year with the start of the spring season.
Georgia: I’ve always been surrounded with flowers, since my birth in Thailand, we had a garden filled with bright Red Hibiscus flowers.
What is your favourite flower?
Kristina: Peonies.
Georgia: My favourite flowers are definitely Daffodils, to me they truly give me a sense of happiness and clarity.
What would be the worst type of flowers someone could ever offer you?
Kristina: A fake one.
Georgia: Any flower that has too much pollen production, like Chamomile or Daisies, I would just start sneezing.
What have you started doing this year to help to fight climate change?
Kristina: I walk everywhere now! I sometimes thrift my clothes or remake pieces I already own or don’t wear anymore just to keep my wardrobe fun without needing to buy new things!
Georgia: Last year, I’ve made a conscious effort to stop purchasing fast fashion and to take public transportation as much as possible, I’ve also developed a love for walking around, I’m fortunate to live in a place like Paris, where the scenery just keeps on giving.
